Mental Vagabond
Why run around
Like a nomad with no home
Finding yourself at
the end of some
lonely dock
Where there’s nothing to do,
to hear, to say or see
You sit around in the emptyness
Wondering if it can be solved
By more suffering.
After you drag
Your sapped carcass away
The healing of bruises
Aleviates the pain.
You call it pleasure
And credit the same
Your pleasure and peace is lack of pain
A simply extraordinary confusion of names.
Like a nomad with no home
Finding yourself at
the end of some
lonely dock
Where there’s nothing to do,
to hear, to say or see
You sit around in the emptyness
Wondering if it can be solved
By more suffering.

And credit the same
Your pleasure and peace is lack of pain
A simply extraordinary confusion of names.

hmmmm it sounds like me... or is it you?
I am a nomad with no home (though the Earth is my home), and am running around 'cuz I'm trying to figure out where my place is on this Earth, what my purpose is. Mental Zen doth alleviate the pain, though yah it is temporary and nay I haven't found true happiness yet... and knowledge of intense pain contributes to appreciation of full happiness. Ecstasy, even. (interestingly enough, mental debate in journal for today concerned the difference between "ecstasy" and "happiness," my conclusion being that my current lack of "ecstasy" is all in the mind--- true happiness is achieved just all in the noggin.
anyhow, glad you are posting again. post more! I'm trying to make daily poems, alao. will share... (will try, at least :B
BRIAN IS AWESOME! <3
by the by, I love your writing. :)
hehe thanks. :-). well I wasn't thinking about you when I wrote this..more about someone who wanders around, perhaps with no idea why or almost compulsively or i don't know what..when they may already have something already that they are not aware of.. thanks for the comments i really appreciate them
yo... still sounds like me. I am wandering in search of something, but I know not what. "I hope you find what you're searching for," said papa, "...but you'll probably just need to sit still, instead of constantly moving about. The answer is probably closer than you think," said a new buddy, yesternight.
wah? :P i think it's phone call time, si? :B i'll try calling soon. am getting back on the road in a few hrs... and will try calling when i can then!
luv, j
